Yes that is the other bit. Being around a bunch of creeps. I am deeply uncomfortable with elites. But the interesting thing is I have friends that run in rather elite circles and the difference between us isn't that they are elitist and I am not but that they are very confident and not very sensitive. They have much thicker skins. So if you feel other people a lot, absorb their vibe, it can be difficult. But they too are limited by not being suck ups or cutthroat. It's really a cluster of traits maybe that you need to survive this culture.
